Questions, answered plainly.

Per stick: 750mg sodium, 653mg chloride, 200mg potassium, 100mg magnesium and 1,000mg taurine. The sodium comes from pink Himalayan salt and sodium citrate; potassium and magnesium are both citrate. Then stevia, citric acid, natural flavouring and silicon dioxide. Neither flavour contains added colour. The full table is on the formula page.

Nothing but the flavour. The actives are identical in both — 1,000mg taurine, 750mg sodium, 200mg potassium and 100mg magnesium. Citrus is lemon, lime and orange. Grape is a single juicy grape flavour. Neither contains added colour.

They behave differently. Sodium citrate dissolves readily and buffers the citric acid, which keeps the taste clean rather than sharp. Pink Himalayan salt is unrefined rock salt, so it brings chloride and trace minerals along with its sodium. Using both means we are not relying on either one to do everything.

None. The sweetness comes from steviol glycosides, extracted from stevia leaf. There are no added sugars and no artificial sweeteners.

Yes. There are no animal-derived ingredients and no declared allergens.

Dissolve one stick in 500ml of cold water and shake or stir until fully dissolved. Best chilled. Drink within 24 hours of mixing, and once a stick is opened use it straight away.

One. The recommended daily dose is a single stick and it should not be exceeded.

You can, but it will taste considerably stronger and more saline. The formula is balanced for 500ml, which is what we would recommend sticking to.

Below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. The powder is hygroscopic, so keep sticks sealed until you are ready to use them.

It is not recommended for children under 16 years of age, for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone with a known sensitivity to taurine. If you are taking prescribed medication or under medical supervision, check with your GP or pharmacist before using it.

Because UK food supplement rules do not permit it. Health claims have to be authorised and tied to a specific nutrient at a specific level, and taurine carries no authorised claim in the UK. We can tell you it is in there and at what amount, which is what we do.

Four, and all of them belong to magnesium, which is present at 27% of its reference value — above the 15% threshold UK law requires. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal muscle function, to normal energy-yielding metabolism, and to electrolyte balance. Our potassium sits at 10%, below the threshold, so it carries none.

Every batch. Manufacturing is done in a UK facility working to GMP standards, and each production run carries a Certificate of Analysis covering the identity and potency of the declared actives, plus microbial and heavy metals screening.
